Miami New Times: Here's Your Guide to Miami Art Shows in June 2024

Laundromat Art Space proudly presents Everybody I Know is Growing Old Too Quickly a collective exhibition curated by Ross Karlan and Sophia Ballesteros featuring works by artists Emma Ortiz, JonLouis Gonzalez, and Justyna Kisielewicz.

Everybody I Know is Growing Old Too Quickly explores the realm of childhood nostalgia. Each artist, whether through evocative memories, playful renditions of amusements, or whimsical expression of forms, offers a poignant and engaging exploration of our inner child. With a blend of somber reflection and gestural play, the exhibition navigates the complexities of yearning for innocence, both in technique and subject matter. Through an emotive journey that embraces a spectrum of feelings, these artists confront the universal experience of longing for the purity of youth.

Everybody I Know is Growing Old Too Quickly will be on view from June 15 through July 27, 2024 with an Opening Reception on June 15th from 6 - 9 pm. Laundromat Art Space is located 185 NE 59th Street Miami, FL and open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 12 - 4pm.
