Sophia Ballesteros is a young arts professional living and working in Miami, FL. Beginning her professional career in 2018, Ballesteros was introduced to the art world through a non-profit art space called 621 Gallery in Tallahassee, FL. During this time, she found her passion for collaborating with others and cultivating community. Since then, connecting with people and bridging the gap between the artist and the public has been a drive that she leads with in all of her professional endeavors.

Upon moving to Miami in 2022, Ballesteros began working in the for-profit sector of the art world under the wing of the late Bill Brady, owner and founder of ATM Gallery (NYC) and Bill Brady Gallery (Kansas City, Miami, and Los Angeles). Ballesteros was the Director of Bill Brady Gallery (Miami and Los Angeles) from January, 2023 until the gallery’s closing in December of 2023. Today, Ballesteros serves as Gallery Manager at Mindy Solomon Gallery in Miami, FL.

Throughout her time working in multiple galleries, Ballesteros has continued to practice her grant writing skills and curatorial abilities by working with local and international artists on independent projects. Ballesteros hopes to continue to make connections with other passionate creators/artists around the globe, specifically through curating exhibitions within Miami and beyond. Her long term goals include opening a gallery of her own some day and building artists careers through experience, collaboration, and community.
